Cohort Program Overview

The RN-BSN Cohort program is designed to afford busy working nurses the ability to obtain their Bachelor's degree at a reduced tuition rate, in a setting that is familiar and convenient. Located at nurses' place of employment, classes are held in the evenings one night a week. Students take one course every 8-week term, which offers the opportunity to complete a Bachelor's degree in 20 months.

The Jacksonville University, Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences, Keigwin School of Nursing has a long standing tradition of teaching RN-BSN and MSN courses off-campus on a rotating basis at hospitals around the city. The first cohort was established in 1991, and since that time, Jacksonville University, Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences, Keigwin School of Nursing has had a presence at
Baptist Health, Flagler Hospital, Mayo Clinic, Orange Park Medical Center, and St. Vincent's Healthcare

RN-BSN students are rarely required to come to campus; however, they have full access to Jacksonville University resources. Additionally, the majority of faculty who teach in the RN-BSN cohort programs also teach in our traditional classrooms and clinical settings. Many are doctorally prepared, and all have years of clinical practice experience.  A complete list of faculty biographical sketches can be found here.
