Sigma Theta Tau is an international honor society for nurses that works to advance world health and celebrates nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership and service. Induction into Sigma Theta Tau is reserved for both graduate and undergraduate students who demonstrate excellence in academic achievement. Nurses who are outstanding community stewards are also eligible for induction as nurse leaders.

Lambda Rho at large is a joint chapter between the Schools of Nursing of both Jacksonville University and the University of North Florida. The Lambda Rho chapter sponsors research conferences, journal clubs, educational programs, community service events and academic and research scholarships to nurses in the Northeast Florida region. Sigma Theta Tau Induction - April 20, 2016

2016 Sigma Theta Tau International - Lambda Rho Chapter at Large Conference​ - February 5, 2016
The Lambda Rho Chapter of Sig​ma Theta Tau International hosted a Research and Evidence-based Practi​ce Conference on February 5th. Several Keigwin School of Nursing faculty members presented their research including Chapter President Dr. Hilary Morgan, Dr. Michelle Edmonds, Dr. Jeane Richards, Dr. Mary Gipson, Dr. Teresa MacGregor, Dr. Carla Fry, Dr. Brantlee Broome, Dr. Teri Chenot and Professor Berta Christopher. Dr. Wayne Mier from the School of Applied Health Sciences also presented with Dr. Fry. ​

Dr. Morgan would like thank the undergraduate nursing student presenters for their scholarship and all of the student volunteers who helped make this event possible.

Sigma Theta Tau 43rd Biennial Convention - November 7 - 11, 2015
Keigwin School of Nursing faculty members Dr. Hilary Morgan and Dr. Michelle Edmonds attended the Sigma Theta Tau 43rd Biennial Convention, which was held November 7-11, 2015, at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas Nevada. Dr. Morgan and Dr. Edmonds presented at the conference and were voting delegates for the Lambda Rho chapter. The Lambda Rho chapter received the prestigious chapter key award for the 2nd straight biennial.

Fall New Member Meet & Greet - October 26, 2015

New inductees into the Lambda Rho chapter celebrate after their induction into Sigma Theta Tau on July 16.  Sigma Theta Tau is the honor society for nursing that recognizes nursing excellence. The induction ceremony occurred at the Sam Marks Chapel on the JU campus. ​

Jacksonville University recently inducted over 50 graduate and undergraduate nursing students into the Lambda Rho chapter of Sigma Theta Tau. Students are invited for induction based on academic achievement. Sigma Theta Tau is the International Honor Society for Nursing and represents nursing excellence in leadership, scholarship and service.

Debra Harrison DNP, RN, NEA-BC was the keynote speaker for the Fall Sigma Theta Tau Induction Ceremony, held on October 2nd, 2014 in Samuel Marks Chapel at Jacksonville University. Dr. Harrison is the Chief Nursing Officer at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville and spoke on “Our Obligation to Life Long Learning”
