Salute Your Future
Celebrate Veterans Day with Jacksonville University at our Open House on Monday, November 12. During Open House, you will enjoy a campus tour, learn more about JU’s academic majors, and speak to faculty and staff about the admissions process, financial aid, and JU’s overall culture. In honor of Veterans Day, we will also have a special Veterans ceremony and a J-Unique Focus on Aviation and NROTC.
Why Jacksonville University?
Jacksonville University is proud to be one of the most military-friendly campuses in the United States. We value our military students not only for their service to our country but also their leadership and maturity. Our entire University community benefits from the strengths, skills, and experiences veteran and military students bring with them.
Some of the ways we support our military students include:
- The University fully endorses and supports the 8 Keys to Veterans Success and the Principles of Excellence that were developed by the White House and Departments of Defense, Education, and Veterans Affairs.
- Our designations as a Military Times Best for Vets Colleges 2017; G.I. Jobs Military Friendly School; U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges for Veterans; Military Advanced Education & Transition Top School for Military/Veteran Education; and SR Education Group Top Military Friendly Online College are emblematic of the University’s commitment to the military.
- The Director of the Veterans and Military Resource Center facilitates Green Zone training for faculty and staff at every level of the University to learn more about our veteran and military students and how to effectively serve them.
- We are a founding member of the Northeast Florida Military Veteran College Network. Our goal is to leverage the educational expertise of our partners at fellow universities, military installations, Veterans’ Service Officers, and other stakeholders to provide the best experience for our military students and families.
